Fernando received a 📄Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi in 2014. 🤙🏽 Following graduation, Fernando began 👨🏽🏫teaching, Directing, and Managing Theatre productions at the Junior and High school levels in Texas and currently teaches Spanish at the Junior High level.
With 9 years of experience in Public Education, Fernando has extended beyond the classroom to 👨🏽💼 lead teams of adult learners in various local leadership positions. These roles include Department Chair Lead, District Representative, and New Teacher Mentor. He has provided engaging bilingual 📈 professional development opportunities and streamlined best practices with an emphasis on Social & Emotional Learning and its impacts on learners’ growth.
After spending 29 years in Houston, Texas, Fernando now lives in Upstate New York with his husband Chris and 4 kids, 🐶Sunny, 😺Luna, 🐾Gaia, and 🌭Rockette.
